Clinton: Haiti's 'Ironic' Twist of Fate Embodied in Monday NewsHour Report

The Bureau for International Reporting (BIR) is a non-profit news agency that provides international reporting from often-forgotten news frontiers. Supported by Ford since 2008, BIR was in Haiti completing a report on economic development issues when the devestating January 12 earthquake struck. Their video report from the ground was carried by the PBS Newshour, catching the attention of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, among others. Support for BIR and similar organizations reflects our commitment to help ensure American audiences are in touch with issues across the world.
